About the Film
In Duisburg-Marxloh, on the social margins of Germany, there is hope. A group of young men with migrant backgrounds fights for equality. Their goal: a world without sexism, racism and homophobia.
They organise workshops in schools and socially disadvantaged neighbourhoods. They are not trained educators, but ordinary young people from the community.
HEROES is a story about the courage of young men who dare to break with the conservative expectations of their parents and society.
